Our Services
A little about what we do.

The ESVCLP is a specialised venture capital investment structure governed by an often complex combination of State and Commonwealth laws. We have been advising on the ESVCLP program since its inception and offer our clients significant experience and expertise in the complexities of the ESVCLP application process, eligible investment framework and governing legislation.

We work with fund managers to provide an end-to-end fund establishment service, from devising the fund investment strategy to advising on fund structuring, fund establishment, investment processes and transaction documentation as well as financial services regulation compliance, FATCA compliance and AML/CTF compliance. Our clients include some of Australia’s leading venture capital and private equity firms.

We advise emerging technology companies on how to position themselves for (typically) fundraising rounds from Series A onwards, and work with founding teams to help negotiate and close early stage funding transactions efficiently and fairly. We apply our experience in early stage capital transactions to ensure a balanced outcome without unnecessarily contentious negotiation.

Deon Joubert – Executive General Manager, Sanitarium
Steven is a very intelligent guy who can take a complex legal and accounting challenge and break it down in to easy to understand and logical steps and then execute the plan in order to achieve the broader goal and vision. I have never met anyone else like Steven who is as capable, personable and “clued up” on corporate structure, venture capital structure and governance.
